Maidwell Hall raises £66,000 for Rainbows Children’s Hospice

Maidwell Hall is delighted to announce that over the past year it has raised over £66,000 for Rainbows Children’s Hospice.
Every year the 12-13 year old pupils in their final year at Maidwell Hall undertake the challenges of a sponsored walk and cycle ride. This year’s walking challenge was set in the Lake District and included climbing two of the highest mountains in England, covering 31 miles with the pupils walking for 28 hours over three days carrying all their food, clothing, water and tents. The cycle ride challenge covered 110 miles including some very steep and arduous hill climbs along the whole route of Hadrian’s Wall.
Both these events were not only a great success for all involved, but also a serious challenge. The money raised will go to the Rainbows Hospice in Loughborough which provides specialist care and family support to children and young people affected by life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
