About First Eleven

First Eleven is the magazine for parents of children in independent education from nursery school to university.

Our writers’ remit, many of whom are also parents, is to inform, inspire and provide insight. We bring you news, views and opinions on all aspects of modern education and parenting both in school and out of it.

First Eleven magazine is essential reading for parents of the 650,000 children who attend Britain’s independent, fee paying schools.

Written by professionals who are experts within their subject areas. Most have educated their children at independent schools and their advice and inspiration in key areas such as education, health, careers, finance and lifestyle.

Each term we publish one Junior and one Senior edition of the magazine, which is distributed exclusively to parents of children at independent schools throughout London from nursery school upwards.

Our new website is regularly updated monthly with editorial blogs, expert advice and and parents’ opinions. With first-hand research and close links with the schools, we are uniquely positioned to provide a daily forum for interactive debate between parents, schools, pupils and educational experts on all topical issues concerning independent education.
