Taverham Hall pupils visit BBC Norwich

As part of the extra curriculum program for its boarders, a group of Taverham Hall School pupils enjoyed a trip to BBC Norwich. The children were made extremely welcome by the BBC guides and once ‘Look East’ was off-air their tour began. The girls and boys watched the news readers whilst they were having their post-programme meeting and were delighted to be greeted by them. In the radio studios the pupils learnt about broadcasts and all the warning lights used when on-air. In the TV studio they were fascinated by the way in which the Look East news is delivered and were surprised at the small size of the studio. At the end of the tour there was an opportunity to role play presenting the news and weather which was tremendous fun. It was a fantastic experience.
